Acceptable use
What you may not do with Birby, beyond what you may not broadcast on it.
The content standards and community guidelines cover what airs and how people behave, and they form part of this policy. This page covers the rest: what you may not do to the service itself.
Prohibited uses
- Illegal. Anything unlawful, or that facilitates something unlawful.
- Infringing. Broadcasting content you do not have the rights to. See copyright.
- Harmful. Content likely to cause serious harm, including instructions for weapons or self-harm.
- Deceptive. Scams, fraud, impersonation.
- Abusive. Harassment, hate, targeting people for who they are.
Technical restrictions
- Do not scrape, crawl or bulk-download the service, including recordings and replays.
- Do not attack the service: no denial of service, no probing for vulnerabilities without permission, no attempts to bypass access controls.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the roles. Appearing on camera without an approved seat, chatting without an account, or hosting without an approved program are all attempts to defeat the access controls, whatever tool you use.
- Do not use another person's account, or share yours.
- Do not record or redistribute other people's streams outside the tools we provide.
Consequences
Breaking this policy is handled under the enforcement policy: removal, block, or ban, up to suspension across Birby. Severe cases skip the strike ladder.
