Child safety and 18+
Birby is an adults-only platform. You must be 18 or older to register, and registration is required for every action.
Adults only
You must be 18+ to register. Registration is the gate for every action on the platform: chat, requesting a seat, and hosting. Anonymous viewing is passive watch-only and confers no ability to interact. See access tiers for exactly who can do what.
Because there are no under-18 accounts at all, Birby is not a child-directed service. If someone is discovered to be under 18, the account is removed.
The age gate
The 18+ affirmation and identity verification are enforced together at registration. Verification is by linking a social account or by phone, and phone verification is a meaningfully stronger identity signal than a checkbox alone. It is already required before anyone can appear on camera.
Zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation
This floor is absolute and sits beneath everything else, regardless of the 18+ model. Any content that sexualizes, endangers or exploits a minor is removed immediately, the account is banned, and the matter is referred to the appropriate authorities, including NCMEC in the United States.
No exceptions. No strike ladder. No appeal for this category.
Design choices that reduce risk
- The 18+ and verification gate is enforced at registration, and the anonymous tier can do nothing but watch.
- Hosts and viewers have clear reporting tools, including for any suspected minor on screen.
- We never facilitate private contact intended to reach or groom a minor.

Use the report control in any room, or email reports@birby.live. Minor-safety reports are the highest priority queue and are reviewed immediately. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
