Reporting something

If a show or a person on Birby breaks the rules, tell us. Here is what happens next.

Reports are handled under the enforcement policy.

How to report

Use the Report control in the room. It's in the left column of every show, under the share link. That's the fastest route and it attaches the show automatically, so we know exactly what you mean.

You need an account to report. That's deliberate: an anonymous report button is a free, untraceable way to harass a host, and report-spam is its own attack. An account gives every report something we can weigh and, if it's made in bad faith, something we can act on.

If you can't use the control, email reports@birby.live with a link to the show and what you saw.

What a report captures

What we do with it

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service and we cannot respond at that speed.

After you report

We acknowledge receipt, and we'll tell you the outcome where it's appropriate to. We don't share the details of action taken against another account, for the same reason we don't tell them who reported them.

Hosts can also act immediately in their own rooms: remove someone from the stage, block them from chatting, or ban them from the show. You don't have to wait for us.
